You really can’t slow down my wife. She could be sick or injured, and the lady continues to move. While some people treat being sick like a recurring character in their life that promotes rest and do-nothingness, Rachel sees it as a nemesis--someone to destroy before a task is blocked.
I’m not much different. After waking up with a twisted stiff neck and feeling like pain was following me around for the first part of the morning, I intend to visit the gym and continue on with my Sunday afternoon. Instead of resting, we barrel through a less-than-ideal body setback. If my lower back is stiff, I’ll still go for a run.
Sometimes, you don’t want to be told what to do. It’s probably why I despise going to the doctor and always find my blood pressure skyrocketing. No one likes a schedule written in ink. You think of today as the last free day on Earth, because who knows what’s coming tomorrow at work? It’ll be a nine hour day of whatever, but it could be a pain in the ass because it’s Monday and they remind us the week is awfully young.
Yes, I’m rambling. Hence the title of the newsletter/website thing I am operating here. Sometimes, I step back and think about all the areas that carry my words. Dose of Buffa started it all, but there have been so many stops in between. KSDK, St. Louis Game Time, Hidden Remote, FanSided, Cards Conclave, Arch City Sports, Fox 2, and more. Muck Rack has them listed, but I just find it fascinating.
Ramble On has the controls now, and thank goodness for the freedom. Opinions don’t have to be watered down or repackaged here, all due to an audience that tags every take with a political angle. Piss off the red, and the blue are your friend. Piss them both off, and in-between liberal conservatives are your ally. All of it sounds nauseating, which is why I ditch that world and leave my political output resting solely on my vote--which is private.
