Celebrating International Women's Day the right way: The amazing women in my life
Thanks for making this world look and feel better
Thank you, ladies.
There isn’t an ounce of sexy swagger in that statement. From the bottom of my heart (which has been confirmed via Princeton Heights to be quite sizable), thank you.
Before you roll your eyes at this post, fellas, think about where we’d be without them. Just sit back, don’t forget the Cheetos, and prepare to enter THE horror film. A world without women is about as worthwhile as a world with only wasps and mosquitoes. Yeah, that’s bad.
I know a thing or two about amazing women. My life has been full of them, from the beginning to year #40. Starting with my wonderful mom. She’s just a lovely human being, in addition to being a multi-faceted mother and wife to my old man. He’s about as easy to put up with times as I am. But my mom is the sweetest person on Earth, even if her anger isn’t a bad thing to see from time to time. She’s Lebanese and makes carb-less food actually taste good. Along with her 35+ years at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, that makes her a superwoman.
My wife is no slouch in the fierce ladies department. She works a full-time-plus type job (50 hours at least), and then comes home to be a great wife and mother. We get into our intense fights and mini-bickering battles, but there’s a true, beating love between us. Without her, I would indeed become a Nomadic ghost. To say she is vital would be like saying water is optional for the body.
