Players reject owners' final offer, Opening Day to be postponed officially (this sucks)
The lockout continues and baseball looks so far away
Unfortunately, the powers that be do not want baseball to go on as planned this year.
Via Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the MLB Owners group made one last (probably shitty) offer to the Players Association, who promptly told the other side to kick rocks. It was rejected before 3 p.m. got cold, and makes official what’s been long simmering: the 2022 regular season is going to be altered and messed up.
