It’s no secret that television has caught up to movies when it comes to appointment watching and even precision and finish. The desire to watch a show has evened up with the same pursuit to go out and catch a flick. Look at the new Star Wars movie in theaters right now, The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Less of a true cinema event and more of a fan service for the original television show that it’s based off, the movie could most likely be enjoyed at home. If you asked me whether we’re watching that or a new episode of Dutton Ranch on Paramount Plus, the decision would be easy. I’m going with the guy who rides a horse for justice instead of riding shotgun with a tiny version of Yoda.
In addition to the Yellowstone spinoff, the Miles Teller-led series about the making of The Godfather is also a must watch for film historian buffs and lovers of pure entertainment. The Offer is ten episodes deep, packed with a great cast, and enlightens you about the trials and tribulations behind arguably the greatest movie of all time. It’s also a wonderful showcase for Matthew Goode and Teller.
