News flash, friends: Top prospects dropping into the Major Leagues and absolutely tearing it up is a very rare thing. How many players have done this for the St. Louis Cardinals since Albert Pujols lost his shit on the entire league 23 years ago?
The Answer: No one.
Very few young players get the call, and step right into Mike Trout mode. So, it’s very important that Cardinals fans measure their expectations for Jordan Walker, wisely as we sit a month and change from spring training. The team’s top prospect-especially now that Nolan Gorman and Matthew Liberatore have seen promotion-will definitely make his debut in the 2023 season. He’s just not saving it anytime soon.
