An actor may be born to play a role and give it more than anyone else, but overdosing can have bad side effects. The list of reasons to bring back Hugh Jackman for another round as his most famous character, Logan aka the Wolverine, was just about empty-except for a dark, gory and twisted adventure film with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. After all, James Mangold hit a walk-off, bat-flipping home run with his dark and down-to-Earth Logan. The 2017 standalone film seemingly cashed out Jackman’s chips as the titular character.
