Anyone claiming the label “Cardinal Nation” or “Best Fans in Baseball” or whatever the next self-congratulatory label is, has already given up on sanity.
I wasn’t aware there was any clamoring for turning things around this season. I assumed the consensus was that a full rebuild was needed and that it should involve playing the kids and firing the real GM, the fake GM, and the manager.
Ha! I use that label with comedic charm my friend. This season is screwed but with such large contracts and a large payroll, I am not losing hope in next year being better than this crap. I don’t want Mo here long term but he’s not going anywhere.
But there are fine young players on this team. Star talents performing well. The idea was that there is a lot to watch and appreciate without worrying about contending. That’s not for us to worry about anyway. Love seeing Walker and Gorman step up.
It’s not about this season, my friend. The next few years aren’t crapped out yet. And the young talent. Nobody should spend big bucks at Busch, but keep watching.

I would like to see Mo gone tomorrow. So much. But it’ll be another year or two before he’s canned.
