Realistically, at this point we’re talking about a difference of a couple weeks, as he’s certain to be a September call up. This is also why I wasn’t too outraged at the early Walker recall.
Maybe Baker will turn out to be a classic AAAA player who ends up in Japan or Korea, but we’ve seen that these guys need to accumulate quite a few major league ABs before you know what you have. Winn and Burleson are recent examples of guys that looked lost at the plate but eventually figured it out.

Memphis is WAY out of post season contention and God knows the Cards need offense.
I would say time to throw in the towel but the Team, Management and Owner already did that so why not give the AAA guys a chance against good teams?
